Catherine Oxley is a Canadian artist whose bespoke paper botanicals, created under the studio name BOUQ Paper Flowers, are sculpted from fine crepe paper into blooms that carry the subtleties, movement, and presence of living flowers. Her practice is rooted in sustained observation, a discipline also sharpened through more than two decades in film and television. Working under the stage name Catherine Burdon (The Brinkof War, Molly’s Game, Breach), Oxley learned to read gesture, atmosphere, and the charge of a held moment, a cinematic sensitivity she now brings to each bloom, composing it as a living presence held in stillness. Catherine has from the start been drawn to the process that this metamorphosis involves.

The residency will culminate in a  blooming celebration on Friday, 27th of November.
