What is it like to be a jewellery maker? How can we decorate ourselves?! Helga Mogensen leads a creative workshop for the whole family where we learn how to make our own necklace from a variety of materials.

Helga Mogensen graduated in 2007 with a degree in Jewellery and Silversmithing from Edinburgh Collage of Art in Scotland. Her main focus is her connection with nature and the materials that show up for the process, driftwood and found wood being the main materials. Helga has been exhibiting her work both in Iceland and abroad since graduating.

The workshop is connected to a new exhibition in our Platform exhibition space, opening in March. It marks the beginning of a series of events celebrating the 50 year anniversary of Icelandic Textile Association
