The Icelandic Book Design Awards will be presented for the first time.
At the same time, the exhibition Best Book Design from all over the world will open at the museum, featuring books that received the award 2025. Stiftung Buchkunst has been giving the award for over 50 years. In total, 14 books will be on display, which visitors can browse and examine at the exhibition. The book that received the main prize, Goldene Letter 2025, is Forget Me Not / Vergissmeinnicht, designed by Rudy Guedj.
In addition to the international books, the exhibition will also feature the books nominated for this year’s Icelandic Book Design Awards.
The awards are presented by the Icelandic Publishers Association (FÍBÚT) and the Icelandic Association of Illustrators and Graphic Designers (FÍT). Awards will be given for outstanding book design in two categories: Best Book Cover and Best Overall Book Design.
All nominated books will be submitted on behalf of Iceland to the Stiftung Buchkunst awards.
