Arnarnes was the first planned residential neighborhood in Iceland where buildings had to be designed by architects. On the western side of the peninsula, visitors can find gems of Icelandic architectural history from the 1960s, including private homes designed by Manfreð Vilhjálmsson, Helgi Hjálmarsson, and Gunnar Hansson.

The walk will begin from the parking area next to Mávanes 1.
