On Sunday, October 25, at 1 p.m., architect Pétur H. Ármannsson will give a talk at the Icelandic Museum of Design and Applied Art.
Garðabær has a much richer architectural heritage than one might initially expect. To mark the 50th anniversary of Garðabær architect Pétur H. Ármannsson will discuss several historic buildings in Garðabær from different periods. These buildings bear witness to the development of the town and its community throughout its history. Some of these works were considered remarkable in Icelandic architecture at the time and still stand today as testimony to the finest craftsmanship and artistry of past generations. The lecture is in icelandic.
Admission is free, but visitors are asked to register, as seating is limited.
